Success Education Colleges Hosts Annual Professional Development Conference Event Emphasizes Colleges’ Continued Commitment to Investing in Team Members
ONTARIO, Calif.— Success Education Colleges (SEC) once again gathered for its annual Professional Development Conference (PDC) on Friday, December 2, at the Ontario Convention Center. The one-day conference brought together College faculty, staff, leadership, board members and guest presenters—all with the goal of investing in Team Members.
“We are excited for a day of learning and growth as we heard from an amazing lineup of presenters,” SEC President Mitchell Fuerst explained. “Our heart with this event is to pour into our Team Members—the same people who give so much to our Students each and every day. We firmly believe that ‘Our Students Are at Their Best When We’re at Our Best’!”
From Jason Altmire, President and CEO of Career Education Colleges and Universities (CECU) and former US Congressman to Andrew Jahn, President, Southern California Region, Adventist Health; Edward Cramp, Managing Partner at Duane Morris, LLP; Rachel Friend, Mindset Coach and Relationship Expert; Dr. Keri Ohlrich, CEO and Co-founder of Abbracci Group; and others, attendees had an opportunity to hear from an incredible caliber of presenters.
In addition to three general sessions, the conference included eighteen targeted breakout sessions called Learning Labs, covering a variety of relevant topics. Grouped into four tracks—Nursing Faculty, Leadership, Compliance, and Faculty—these learning labs enabled Team Members to personalize their day by attending sessions that best fit their role and professional development.
The day’s events closed with a number of Team Member and campus awards, including recognizing Team Member’s Years of Service and awarding North-West College Pomona as the SEC’s 2022 Campus of Distinction.
“Our Team Members are the reason we have carried our mission to ‘Train students in short-term and professional programs for gainful employment and career advancement’ forward for 55 years,” Fuerst shared. “We are humbled to look back at the tens of thousands of lives that have been set on a path toward a brighter future since we first opened our doors in 1966, and we are confident SEC will continue to see lives and communities transformed by the power of quality career education.”
